My friend Ben Stevens recently published an article over at Christianity Today about how four books on filmmaking helped him in his pursuit to become a better preacher and teacher of God’s Word. He writes, “if your role requires you to understand great narrative, it may be beneficial to consider what it means to create great narrative.”
This is a good reminder for us as we seek to preach God’s Word week in and week out. We must strive to be better storytellers, for after all, we have been entrusted with the greatest story of all: God’s Story.
