Some Holy Experiences for Holy Week

In recent weeks I have been blessed to see God move in some pretty amazing ways within our church body. Stories continue to emerge of lives that have and are being changed by the gospel. As Holy Week continues, I like to think of these stories as holy experiences. Some of my favorite quotes include:

When my wife could have looked to someone else, she prayed for me instead.

I now know what it means to love God and hate my sin.

I’m not angry anymore.

I’ve really learned to love these guys in my LifeGroup and watch out for them, because they do the same thing for me.

God has really messed up my life in the last year, but I’m glad for it. It has been hard, but it is wonderful.

God is working in our church body. He is changing lives, repairing marriages, and changing the trajectory of entire families. God is raising up new leaders and new teachers and with each passing week I seem to hear another praise about a changed life.As we observe Easter and celebrate the death and resurrection of Christ, let’s not neglect to celebrate his work in the lives of his people. He lived, died, and rose again so that he could be glorified in the salvation of sinners.

Christ came into the world to save sinners, and we have been sent to proclaim that message of salvation to every nation, tribe, and tongue. Every changed life is a testament to Christ’s goodness and love. Every salvation and every repaired life is a celebration of Easter.

I pray that God blesses you this holy season, but I pray even more that you seek to share God’s love with others and see the joy of Easter file the hearts of many more inside our church and out.
