I got this in my inbox this week and it caused me to re-consider the ways I spend time. Time is a commodity that can be traded for alot of different things. For instance, you can spend time on your family, your ministry, your job, your hobbies, etc… On the flip side, you can also waste time by spending it on unimportant issues. The time you waste you can never re-earn.
How do you keep track of your time and schedule. I use my iPhone and my computer to keep me organized. Events go on my calendar and that calendar is synced with my iPhone. That way, I carry my calendar with me everywhere I go and I can schedule events at the touch of a button. This keeps me from overbooking and from forgetting important appointments.
I have learned to schedule everything, writing, reading, sermon prep, and family time. What does your day look like? Is there time for everything and everybody? If not, don’t worry, there never will be. Don’t focus on making time for everything and everybody, make time for the things that matter and the people that you need to be with. God has given you 24 hours a day, make the most of them.
