Give God Your Unqualified Yes

Do you trust the Lord? Do you really trust him completely? If so, what keeps you from giving him an unqualified yes?

You can be useable in God’s kingdom. God uses ordinary believers to do his work. He doesn’t need to look for specially equipped people for his service. Instead, God calls his people to service and equips them for service to which he calls them.

People sometimes believe that pastors, missionaries, and other Christian leaders are a specific kind of person that God chooses to use. In truth, the one thing God desires most is a humble and willing heart. The secret to serving God is not magic. God requires a surrendered heart. If you will surrender your heart to the Lord and give him an unqualified yes, God can and will use you.

What is an unqualified yes? It is a “yes” without any qualifications or demands. An unqualified yes says, “God, I will go where you send me. I will do what you tell me. Whatever you ask, the answer is yes.”

An unqualified yes is a yes without reservation or limitation.

Say yes to God. Sign your name to a check and allow God to fill in the subject line. If you trust him, then you can trust him with your yes. You don’t need to worry about that to which he will call you. You can trust him.

You may not know all of the steps, but you can take the first one. The first step of trust and faith. God can use you. The church needs you.

Is God calling you?

Why aren’t you responding?

What are you waiting for?

Get busy living with obedience. He calls ordinary people. He uses ordinary churches to prepare his people. He works through ordinary means to make his purposes known.

So, until you know exactly what God has called you to do, get to church. Get involved. Read your Bible. Pray. Fast. Share the gospel. Go to work. Trust that in the middle of all of these ordinary Christian activities, God will show you exactly what he wants you to do.
