Aesthetics is the study or appreciation of beauty and beautiful things. As it relates to the Christian life, aesthetics is more than just pretty things, it is the appreciation of beauty in light of the Creator. An appropriate understanding and appreciation of beauty helps us to better worship and appreciate God. In this podcast we discuss the beauty of a sunset, of The Smashing Pumpkins, and of a perfectly executed barbell squat. Along the way we address apologetics, worship, grief, and C. S. Lewis. Matt also gives a great answer to the question, “Is beauty only in the eye of the beholder?” Join me on this journey and learn to appreciate beauty in a different lens.
