Christmas In July Winner

Congratulations to Kevin Chen, our Christmas in July Winner.  Kevin blogs at www.fobbycalvinist.com.  We hope to do another giveaway this fall or winter.  Stay tuned in.

Here’s some info about Kevin from his blog:

I am a FOB, est. 1996. Sometimes  I also consider myself as an Asian-American. I can handle both Chinese and English but I am unable to master both languages. It is extremely depressing, especially when I plan to study Greek and Hebrew.

I grew up in Taiwan and came to the U.S. for the American Dream. That plan did not go too well because Jesus saved me from my dream in college. I am currently interning at Cleveland Chinese Christian Church. I am planning to attend seminary even though I studied biomedical engineering at Case Western Reserve University and worked briefly with Medtronic and St. Jude Medical. I thought I was going to be selling and implanting pacemakers!

I am a sinner saved by Jesus, in my place condemned He stood. I am looking forward to the day when Christ returns because we will be sinless as we unite with Jesus! Here is a quote from John Newton because he does a better job of describing myself:

I am not what I ought to be, nor what I wish to be, nor what I hope to be, I can truly say, I am not what I once was; a slave to sin and Satan; and I can heartily join with the apostle, and acknowledge, “By the grace of God I am what I am.”

I love Cleveland mainly because of Cleveland Chinese Christian Church. I love this church because Christ loved this church and gave himself up for her (Ephesians 5:5).
